The Odisha Postal circle has announced vacancies for direct recruitment of 42 posts of postal assistant, sorting assistant, postman and multi-tasking staff.
The vacancies in Group 'C' posts in Odisha Postal Circle will be filled up by the meritorious sportspersons from 64 sports disciplines.
The selected candidates will be posted in post offices across the State and railway mail service.

Educational and Other Qualifications:
The minimum educational qualification for the posts of postal assistant, sorting assistant and postman is 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognised Board or university (excluding vocational stream).
The candidates applying for the post of multi-tasking staff must have passed 10th standard pass from a recognised Board.
Scale of Pay:
The postal assistant/sorting assistant will draw a salary of Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100 plus admissible allowance while the pay scale of postman and multi-tasking staff is Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 and Rs 18,000 to Rs 56,900 respectively.
Age:
The age should be between 18 and 27 years for all posts except multi-tasking staff as on December 12, 2021.
For the MTS posts, it should be between 18 and 25 years. Relaxation will be given to SC/ST, OBC and government servant.
How To Apply:
Candidates may send duly filled application forms along with enclosures to Assistant Director (Sports), Office of Chief Postmaster General, Odisha Circle, Bhubaneswar on or before the last date December 3, 2021 by speed post/registered post only.
The application form can be downloaded from the website, https://www.indiapost.gov.in and www.odishapgst.gov.in under the link "Recruitment of meritorious sportspersons in the cadre of MTS in Odisha Circle".
Payment of Fees:
Candidate will have to pay application fees of Rs 100 through e-payment (using Challan form) in the name of CPMG, Odisha Circle (National E-Biller ID No.0000070134), at any computerised post office in India.
Method Of Selection:
Selection of the candidates will be made on educational and sports qualification and subject to fulfillment of prescribed conditions.
Probation and Training Probation:
Candidates selected will be appointed and will be on probation as per rules. The training will be imparted to the candidates selected as prescribed.
