The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has published a fresh recruitment advisement to fill up 335 posts of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in different disciplines. 

The recruits will be posted in 17 stand-alone government higher secondary schools under the School and Mass Education Department.  

The link for registration/re-registration and payment of examination fee will be made available on the official website, www.opsc.gov.in, from November 8, 2021 to December 7, 2021. 

The last date for submission of online application for the OPSC recruitment is December 14, 2021.

Educational Qualification:  

(i) A candidate must have Master's Degree in subject concerned from a recognised University and have possessed two years Post Graduate Master's Course or integrated six years Post Graduate Master's Course from Regional College of Education recognized by the NCERT in the concerned subject

(ii) A candidate must have B.Ed. or equivalent degree recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi as equivalent with B.Ed. from a recognized University provided that B.Ed. qualification shall not be the mandatory eligibility criteria for the post of Post Graduate Teacher in the subjects where B.Ed. course is not offered. 

(iii) Degree or Diploma in Computer Application is desirable qualification subject to production of the certificate in support of above qualification obtained from a recognised University or College or Institution having affiliation to a recognised University. 

Salary:

Selected candidates will get salary at Level-10 and Cell-01 of the Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017 with usual Dearness and other allowances as prescribed by the Government of Odisha from time to time. 

Age Limit:

A candidate must not be below the age of 21 years and above 32 years as on the first day of January 2021. The maximum age limit will be 45 years for in-service candidates from the feeder cadre. 

Upper age limit relaxation will be given to SC/ST, SEBC, women and PWD candidates as per government guidelines.

Candidates must apply online through the concerned website of the OPSC, www.opsc.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.

Examination Fee:  

A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs 400. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Persons with Disability (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) are exempted from payment of this fee. 

Method Of Selection:

The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts will be made on the basis of Career Assessment and Personality test/Interview.
