In a major relief for candidates who gave verification of documents for Contractual Hindi, Sanskrit and Physical Education Teachers a miss, the Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE) Odisha has announced extension of the last date for the process.    

Earlier, the directorate had said that the document verification of candidates who have qualified in the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted from October 30, 2021, onwards. 

"It is for information of the candidates for recruitment to the post of Contractual Hindi/Sanskrit/Physical Education Teachers in Secondary Schools that verification of documents of qualified candidates was conducted in the permanent address district of candidates from October 30 2021 to November 2, 2021," the DSE said. 

"Some candidates might have failed to attend the verification process due to some reasons. In order to provide another opportunity to the candidates absent in the first phase, it has been decided to conduct the verification of documents again on 03.11.2021," it added. 

Candidates, who could not get their documents verified on the scheduled date during the period --October 30, 2021 to November 2, 2021-- can get their documents verified in the respective DEO offices on 03.11.2021, Wednesday, between 11 am and 2 pm.

The DSE asked candidates to refer the earlier notice issued on October 29 for other instructions and guidelines regarding verification of documents.

Notably, a total of 4619 teacher posts will be filled up through the recruitment drive in government Secondary schools across the State. The CBT for the recruitment drive was held on October 4 and 5, 2021. The selection of candidates will be held on the basis of their performance in the Computer Based Competitive Examination.
