For many being a doctor is the end of education. After becoming specialists, dentists, or surgeons, they set up their clinics or start working in any established hospital. However, for many, it is not the end and they strive to do much better so that they can serve society in a different way.

Meet Neha Jain from New Delhi, a dentist first and now an IAS officer. Born and brought up in the national capital, Neha Jain is the daughter of PK Jain and Munjulata Jain, employees at an insurance company.

Neha was quite good in her studies right from her childhood. After completing her graduation in dentistry, she joined the Oberoi Dental Clinic as Dental Consultant. She was strongly interested in serving humanity in a better way and for that, she wanted to be in a position where she could make strong decisions.

The profession of being a Dentist was not enough to fulfill these aspirations of the ambitious girl. That is why she decided to start preparing for the Civil Services Examination.

To get success in the exams, Neha joined an online coaching class with a significant focus on preparing for current affairs. She continued working as a Dental Consultant while preparing for the UPSC exams. She started her preparation step by step, first focusing on her writing skills. And for that, she used to read newspapers regularly.

In between, she also kept giving mock tests virtually to understand how much more she needed to prepare to get a good rank in the UPSC exams.

With proper strategy and practice in answer writing, Neha Jain managed to get 14th rank in the exam in 2017 and fulfilled her dream of becoming an IAS officer. Today, she is reportedly the Revenue Officer in Ashok Nagar, Madhya Pradesh.
