Young Indians dream of becoming IAS officers because it is one of the topmost government jobs in the country that comes with a lot of authority, perks, and a chance to introduce progressive changes in society.
However, there have been a few young IAS officers who decided to call it quits and instead became successful entrepreneurs.
Roman Saini
He passed the IAS exam in 2014 on the first attempt. According to reports, he was the youngest IAS officer of that time. However, a few years later he decided to quit his job and launched his venture Unacademy.

Rajan served as an IPS officer for 3 years in Thiruvananthapuram after passing the civil services exam. However, after serving the government office for 8 years he decided to join the corporate sector and later on started his education platform-ConceptOwl.

He passed the IAS exam in 2020. After working as an IAS officer for a few years, Syed left the job and started a company called Global Healthcare Systems. Syed has a degree in medicine that helped him in this venture.

This IAS officer from the 1970s batch quit the services after working for 22 years to launch his venture Brickwork India which is a knowledge process outsourcing firm that offers global companies virtual assistance.
Pravesh Sharma
He became an IAS officer in 1982 and after working in the government office for more than three decades, he decided to take voluntary retirement in 2016. Post that he started a start-up Sabziwala.
