The divine siblings Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra will lead to the Adapa Mandapa of the Gundicha temple in a ceremonial procession at Puri, today.

The deities have spent a night in their respective chariots on Monday following their sojourn from Srimandir to Gundicha temple. The servitors will perform all rituals of the Holy Trinity on the chariots following which the Goti Pahandi (individual procession) of the Lords will be performed. 

After ‘sandhya alati and dhupa’ goti pahandi of Madan Mohan and Ramakrushna will be performed initially followed by the procession of Chakraraj Sudarshan. Subsequently, elder brother Lord Balabhadra, Sister Subhadra and finally Lord Jagannath will enter the Adapa Mandapa of the Gundicha temple.

The deities will be placed in the Adapa Mandapa, but the devotees will not be allowed to get the darshan of the Holy Trinity due to strict Covid restrictions. But the district administration has made all the preparations to make ‘Adapa Abadha’ (Holy Mahaprasad) available for the devotees.

The three chariots - ‘Taladhwaja’, ‘Darpadalan’ and ‘Nandighosa’ reached Gundicha temple yesterday at 4.30 pm. 5 pm and 5.30 pm respectively.
