  • Hrithik Roshan has refused the offer to star as Ravana in a Ramayana-based movie.
  • Now the makers have approached KGF fame Yash for this role.

Hrithik Roshan has changed his approach toward selecting scripts for new movie projects after Vikram Vedha bombed at the box office. The Krrish actor also has taken the views and comments of his fans on that particular movie and his role quite seriously and even had said that henceforth he will think twice before playing such characters. And it seems that is the reason he has now opted out of an ambitious project of producer Madhu Mantena and director Nitesh Tiwari.

The Chhichhore director wants to bring alive the Hindu epic Ramayana on the silver screen and for that, he approached Hrithik Roshan for the role of the Demon King Ravana. The eminent director wanted Ranbir Kapoor to play the role of Shri Ram. However, now reports are adrift that Duggu has refused to accept the offer and is not interested in playing the role of an antagonist post the criticism he faced for Vikram Vedha.

And, that is why the team of Mantena and Tiwari has decided to approach the KGF fame Sandalwood actor Yash. His portrayal of Rocky Bhai, which also has a shade of antagonism, has won the hearts of fans across the borders. Reports indicate that Yash is also keen to play new characters and after the super success of both KGF movies he is going through multiple scripts.

The Kannada superstar has already selected a few scripts and Ramayana is one of them. Ranbir Kapoor has already shown his interest in doing the role of Ram for the movie. But the Shamshera actor is yet to sign the contract. If things go as planned by Mantena and Tiwari then soon both Ranbir and Yash will be on board Ramayana and fans will get to watch the two biggest superstars from the country fighting it out on the big screen.
