  • Hombale Films founder shared that KFG will have 5 sequels with different actors in the lead.
  • Will Yash be a part of KGF 3?

KGF has made history. It brought glory and prominence to the Sandalwood industry. Undoubtedly, it also gave Yash, Prashanth Neel, and Hombale Films pan India presence. But the fame and success that the KFG franchise and the character of Rocky bhai achieved have surpassed all imaginations.

Not only the first movie but the sequel from the KGF franchise also becomes a massive hit and as of today, it has emerged one of the biggest movie franchises in India.

Naturally, after such a huge response, it was expected that KGF 3 will be announced and the production house did not disappoint the fans. They did confirm that they will start working on the script for the third installment of the KGF franchise.

However, now a bigger announcement was made by none other than the founder of Hombale Films, Vijay Kirgandur. Revealing the next plans of his production company related to the hit franchise, Vijay said that they are planning not just a third KGF movie but five sequels.

Albeit, the twist here is that these sequels may have different heroes. Hombale wants to elevate the status of the KGF franchise further by making it a Bond-like franchise. While the news that KGF will have five sequels is highly exciting, the fact that Yash will be replaced by other heroes in the sequels can be disheartening for the fans of the Kannada actor.

Yash literally owned Rocky bhai and it is his charisma and acting prowess that took that rowdy character to such big heights of popularity. So, it would be interesting to see who will replace or play such a hit character and will the audience accept some other star in his place. Importantly, there is also no clarity on the fact whether Yash will be a part of KGF 3 or not.

While Hombale Films can surely experiment with new actors in the KFG franchise but they should not forget the fact that it is the team of Prashanth Neel and Yash that has given this franchise a distinct identity and no compromise should be made when movies are made with other actors or directors under this franchise.
