Filmmaker Prashanth Neel, who grabbed the attention of movie lovers globally with his KGF franchise, has deactivated all his social media accounts. While some reports claim that the talented filmmaker opted for such a decision for his upcoming Salaar, starring Prabhas, some others blame the trolls over Prashanth’s tweet wishing Yash on his birthday.

Lately, social media is turning to be a curse for celebrities. Earlier, Bollywood filmmakers and actors faced the brunt of social media trolls. It is believed that ships of several biggies of the tinsel town have sunk after being brutally targeted by the netizens.

National crush Rashmika Mandanna was the latest victim of social media trolls for not watching Kantara and her comments on south songs. And now, Neel is believed to be the latest victim of social media trolls that forced him to deactivate his social media accounts.

Some claim the reason to be Neel working in Tollywood with Prabhas. Currently, Neel is busy with Salaar. But, a section of social media users constantly targeted the director for working in another film industry instead of the Sandalwood or the Kannada Film Industry.

“What behaviour from many toxic KFI fans. They don't want others to grow. Want their directors & actress to work only in KFI, but their heros can act in other languages and go to Telugu states to request to watch their movies. Trolled & abused talented @iamRashmika now #PrashanthNeel,” wrote one user expressing his anger.

Meanwhile, some others have opined that Neel preferred to stay away from social media after he was brutally targeted over wishing Yash on his birthday.

A user wrote, “Prashanth neels Twitter account is gone. He has deactivated it, may be annoyed with kannada yelli comments on yash birthday tweet yesterday and many such negative comments of him going to other industry.”

“Yes, this is some so-called blind online oratagaru. Just #PrashanthNeel uses his movie dialogue to wish #YashBOSS birthday but some online oratagaru offended and put bad and fitful comments on his post. It is the best decision for Neel to deactivate his account to avoid toxicity,” said another user.

Meanwhile, many have also expressed concerns about the growing trolls and targeting of celebs on social media.

“If we are really concerned about our state, language and country, let's do the needful in upcoming elections. Targeting others blindly for using their own movie dialogues & phrase is not the right way. Let us not allow the extremist kill our humane qualities,” wrote a user.

As per certain media reports, Neel was a happy man from the beginning with social media. After getting brutally trolled on social media, the filmmaker preferred to deactivate his accounts and focus on his upcoming projects.
