Fans are well aware that Salman Khan made his debut with Biwi Ho To Aisi in a supporting role. However, before making his debut, he worked as an assistant director.
Revealing Salman's early life during an interview, Jackie Shroff said, "I knew him first as a model, then as an assistant director, who used to take care of my clothes and shoes during the shooting of the 1988 film 'Falak'. He used to pay attention to me and is like my younger brother."
Further, he added, "When he was an assistant director, I used to show his pictures to the filmmakers with whom I worked. Eventually, KC Bokadia's brother-in-law gave him a break in Bollywood. The film 'Maine Pyar Kiya' took him to stardom, but I think I got him a break in the industry. This is how our friendship started."
Notably, while his debut movie flopped at the box office, as the lead he made his debut in Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989 and the movie emerged as a blockbuster. After that, Salman never looked behind and went on to give several blockbusters throughout his illustrious career. The 58-year-old actor is among the most celebrated and richest actors with a net worth of over Rs 2900 crore.
