Shah Rukh Khan teamed up with South ace director Atlee for Jawan. Made at a budget of around Rs 300 crore, the movie’s domestic collection was Rs 640.8 crore and the worldwide collection is pegged at Rs 1152. Now, after the humongous success of the movie, it is Salman Khan who likely has teamed up with Atlee for Dabangg spin-off.

Dabangg franchise and Chulbul Pandey brought a new identity for Salman Khan. Though Dabangg 3 didn’t work as expected, Sallu seems to be in no mood to step back from the franchise. To make it larger than all the previous instalments of the franchise, the Wanted actor recently met Atlee and reportedly discussed the possibility of a Dabangg spin-off.

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, a close source to Salman informed that Atlee visited Galaxy Apartments twice or thrice to discuss the Dabangg spin-off with Sallu and his brother Arbaaz Khan.

The close source was quoted as saying, “Atlee, Salman Khan, and Arbaaz Khan have discussed Dabangg spin-off to bring back the most iconic cop, Chulbul Pandey to the lives of people. It could be a co-production of Arbaaz Khan with Atlee and Salman Khan.”

However, the source revealed that Atlee might not direct the film.

Further, the report suggests that Atlee will be writing the script and be creatively involved in the making. While Salman and Arbaaz have made the offer to Atlee, the director is yet to agree and get back on the same.

The source added, "Salman and Arbaaz are eager to bring a director from South to direct Dabangg spin-off and have discussed the plans of making the franchise Pan India with Atlee. The Jawan director will discuss the idea of the Dabangg spin-off with his director friends in the South and see how things can be worked out."

Well, this is something interesting. If everything falls in place and Atlee agrees to work on the script, movie lovers would be served another blockbuster in a Dabangg aka Chulbul Pandey style. Meanwhile, the latest buzz in the industry suggests, Salman Khan will be teaming up with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for a dark action crime thriller. Fans need to wait for an official confirmation for the same with their fingers crossed.
