Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan have never been on talking terms after their bitter breakup. Neither the two have shared screen space after they parted way nor have they ever acknowledged each other’s body of work or presence at various social media events. Whenever Ash or Salman were asked about each other they refrained from talking or simply passed the question without any hesitation.
Even though it has been more than 15 years since they broke up media still loves to play with their past and whenever either of the two Bollywood superstars faces the press at least one question is indirectly addressed related to their past. In 2016 when Salman Khan became the brand ambassador at the Rio Olympics, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was asked how she felt about it.

Salman being a brand ambassador had no connection with Ash but even then it seems for the TRP's sake, a journalist asked the former Miss World, “Since you belong to the Bollywood film fraternity and there is a big debate going on with Salman Khan becoming the brand ambassador of the Rio games. So what do you have to say about that?”
Possibly, the reporter expected the Bollywood actress to get angry and avoid replying to this question which would have caused quite a controversy and given the media a fodder for eye-catching news. But Ash busted all their hopes by replying in a normal way saying, “Well, I just have to say that anybody who is doing good to represent the country and anyone who is working and speaking or standing up for the betterment of whatever vocation we have in our country, be it sport, be it art or music. I think that’s wonderful and that needs to be recognized.”
While the media was indeed expecting some angry outburst, Aishwarya handled the question well and with a very surprising coolness.
