Sanjay Dutt has left the Akshay Kumar-led Welcome to Jungle movie citing health issues. Reports indicate that the Khalnayak actor has said that since the role requires him to perform some action scenes that he is incapable of performing, he has decided to leave the film. Now the producers have roped in Jackie Shroff to play an important role in the film.
Although the role has been offered to the Hero actor after Sanju Baba’s exit Jackie Shroff is not exactly replacing him in Welcome to the Jungle. Rather in a surprising turn of events the makers have decided to offer the role of Sanjay Dutt to Suniel Shetty and Suniel’s earlier role from the movie will be now played by Senior Shroff.
The role that was to be played by Sanjay required the actor to be macho with a well-built body. Since both Suniel and Sanjay have a well-maintained dashing physique, instead of replacing the Munna Bhai M.B.B.S actor with Jackie Shroff they decided to offer the role of Suniel Shetty. Pink Villa has reported, “Jackie Shroff has been silently shooting for Welcome To The Jungle ever since Sanjay Dutt’s exit from the film. There is a twist in the tale for Welcome To The Jungle as the makers have reworked the character traits and re-casted for some parts. While Suniel Shetty will now be playing the role that was initially written for Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff has come on board to play the part that Suniel Shetty had signed on for.
Welcome to The Jungle is the third movie from the Welcome franchise. The first movie became a cult classic and had Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, and Mallika Sherawat playing important roles along with Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. While Akshay dropped out of Welcome 2, he will be making his comeback to the franchise with Welcome 3 which is a star-studded affair as it also stars actors like Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Lara Dutta, and others.
