Nitesh Kumar Sahoo

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, often dubbed as 'Bollywood Badshah' has carved a niche in the Indian film industry and boasts a fandom globally. Undeniably, almost every producer and director wants to work with SRK. All credit goes to the Jawan actor's struggles, hard work, dedication and devotion.

Helmed by director duo Abbas-Mustan, Baazigar is a romantic-thriller movie that proved to be a breakthrough for SRK. And now the veteran filmmakers seem to be 'interested' in making Baazigar 2. And not only SRK, they also 'consider' including Akshay Kumar in the sequel.

Fans are well aware that SRK, after working in the television industry for many years, forayed into the film industry in 1992 with Deewana. Then after, he worked in several movies. However, he got his breakthrough with 1993's Baazigar as anti-hero followed by Darr. SRK was offered Baazigar after several popular actors of the time rejected it.

Recently, during a podcast, Abbas-Mustan talked about Baazigar 2. And also said, "Zaroor banayenge (we'll make)."

During the recent fan interaction, a fan reminded the director-duo that Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar have both gotten their monikers Badshah and Khiladi, because of Abbas-Mustan films. Further, the same fan suggested that the director-duo should probably plan a Baazigar sequel which could have both SRK and Akki together.

The fan said, "Sequel ka zamana hai (It’s the time for sequels).”

Hearing such a suggestion, Mustan immediately said, “Aapke paas kahani hai toh dijiye. Zaroor banayenge (If you have a story, please give. We’ll make).”

Not SRK, Abbas-Mustan used body double for...

Apart from his stellar performance in a negative role, fans remember SRK donning a mask and black Cape with a black hat like Zorro in the title song where he is seen riding a horse.

During the show, a fan asked if SRK fell off the horse during the song’s shoot, since he has spoken about his fear of horses many times. Ro this, Abbas-Mustan revealed that it was actually a body double of Shah Rukh, who shot for the most iconic scene in the movie.

Since Shah Rukh’s face was hardly visible in that look, they actually shot the portions with the horse with a body double in SRK’s place.

Mustan said, "He was wearing a robe, a hat and a mask on his face and his eyes were covered. The horse riding was done by the horse owner, a body double.”

He further added, "When the song ends, when he turns and goes away from the camera, he is going down a slope, there is no horse there but Shah Rukh just acted as if he is riding a horse. No one can believe that he is not riding the horse. That’s how well he has performed.”

Notably, Baazigar was SRK's first movie as an anti-hero and he got recognition for playing the character in the movie. Later he took the 'insane risks' that proved him as a versatile actor. If the makers collaborate with SRK and Akki for Baazigar, it could be a treat for the fans of the actors-duo eagerly waiting to see them together on-screen.
