  • Vijay Deverakonda’s character in Liger has been rumored to have a speech disability.
  • While the first look of Vijay as a boxer was revealed a long time ago fans are waiting for more updates from the makers.

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday’s Liger are currently in the making. Bankrolled by Karan Johar and Charmee Kaur and helmed by Puri Jagannadh, the film will revolve around the life of an MMA fighter. While the producers revealed the first look of Vijay from Liger a long time ago, fans are eagerly waiting for more updates on his character as a boxer and are demanding the makers to unveil a few updates through a promo.

Tollywood.net recently revealed that Vijay Deverakonda in Liger will have a speech disability and will find it difficult to pronounce T, which is why he will call Tiger Liger. While there has been no official confirmation about this, it would be interesting to watch how the Dear Comrade actor portrays this challenging character if indeed it is true.

Vijay Deverakonda until now has always sported a toned and lean body. But he had to undergo a huge transformation for Liger to look the part and buffed his body for the role of a fighter. He also grew a beard and long hair to portray the look generally sported by fighters.

Earlier, there have been reports that the US boxing legend Mike Tyson will feature in a crucial role in Liger. While neither the production house nor the controversial boxer has confirmed this news, there is a strong probability that Tyson might take up the offer as he has already acted in a few Hollywood movies.

If the presence of MikeTyson in Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger is confirmed, it will add a big boost to the value of the movie.

According to reports, the Arjun Reddy star has signed a 100 crore deal with Dharma Productions, and if Liger clicks with the audience, Vijay will be a part of two more movies to be produced by Dharma.  While the shooting of Liger was paused for the last couple of months due to the Corona pandemic, the team is expected to resume it soon.
