Vampires of Vijay Nagar update: Rashmika Mandanna, Ayushmann Khurrana movie's schedule, storyline and other details!

After the massive success of Stree 2 now, Maddock Films is eyeing another blockbuster with its upcoming movie Vampires of Vijay Nagar scheduled to release in 2025. The movie will introduce new characters in the horror comedy universe of Maddock Films started by Stree, Bhediya and Munjya

Stree 2 has already hinted in the climax about the existence of vampires in the horror universe when Janaa aka Abhishek Banerjee learns about some blood-sucking beasts that are causing havoc in Delhi from Varun Dhawan aka Bhediya.

First schedule to kick off in October

Mid-Day has reported that Vampires of Vijay Nagar’s first schedule will start in the first week of October in Mumbai and its lead star cast- Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna will join the crew in the third week. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar who has already given a hit with Munjya this year, Vampires of Vijay Nagar will be shot in two different periods.

The first backdrop will be that of today’s era with a small North Indian town as the main location and the second period will be the ancient city of Vijayanagara. The unit will first focus on present times and will kick off with a night shift. A set is being designed to depict a small town in North India.

Rashmika Mandanna will play a role with different layers

According to the source, “Ayushmann will be shown as an adventure-loving, sports enthusiast, while Rashmika has a layered role. She will also sport a distinct look in the film. Their look tests will take place in the first week of September.” Importantly, Vijayanagara which was the capital city and the most flourishing city of the Vijayanagara Empire during the 14th century will be an important part of the storyline.

Today the place is known as Hampi and its history will also be used in some way to develop the storyline. The good thing is that characters from Stree 2, Munjya, and Bhediya will make an entry in Vampires of Vijayanagar to establish a connection between all these horror comedy movies from Maddock Films’ universe.
