Disha Vakani is mostly known to her fans as traditional Gujarati bahu Daya from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The role of Daya has sort of typecast - the actress as the one who can do typical desi roles of sanskari bahu and wife. But before Disha became a part of the famous comedy serial, she did small roles in many movies and even danced to a few numbers.
Most of these songs were in Marathi in which Disha can be seen grooving to koli dance or a popular folk number. Undoubtedly, garba of Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has established one fact that Disha is a very good dancer. But these old videos present the actress in a different and unbelievable avatar.
One of the videos shows Disha Vakani grooving to the remix of old classic – Darya kinare ek bungalow ga pori’ in a glamorous dress, making provocative moves. Her thumkas and expressions are at par with any Bollywood actress who dances to item numbers in big-budget movies.

Another song of Vaishali Samant shows Disha grooving to a very famous folk number – Bhingari ga bhingari. In a short two-piece shimmering dress, the actress looks unrecognizable and no one can imagine that she is the same star who is known for playing demure Daya.
While the videos are certainly worth a watch, the comments for the videos from the fans are equally entertaining. One of the users wrote, “ Jethalal Ko Bolu Kya” while another one said, “Heee maaaa, matajiii, ai tune keya dikhayaaaa.”
Fans loved Disha’s look in these videos. One of the fans penned, “Disha is so beautiful her skin looks flawless and also she is a versatile actress.” Yet another fan said, “We want more videos like these of disha plzz.”
It may not be possible for the fans to see more such videos of Disha Vakani as those were shot during her struggling days. Moreover, the actress has been away from work for more than three years now and fans are eagerly waiting for her to return as Daya on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
