TMKOC beats Anupamaa; New Entry helps comedy show to retain its position in top 5

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is struggling to keep its audience hooked as one and the other controversies have been hampering the show’s content as well as goodwill. A few weeks ago, fans were very upset with the makers as the episodes promised a comeback of Dayaben on the show. However, in the end, it was just a gimmick to attract the viewers.

It had led to the #boycotttmkoc trend on social media that forced producer Asit Kumarr Modi to break his silence and say that they are planning to bring Dayaben back soon on the show but there is no guarantee that it will be Disha Vakani or any other actress.

While Disha has not returned to TMKOC, another actress Monaz Mevawalla will replace Jennifer Mistry who left the show a few months ago. The buzz related to this seems to have helped Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah to stay in the top 5 position beating Anupamma and many other popular television shows.

The makers have been creating a lot of hype around this character announcing that a new Mrs Roshan Singh Sodhi is all set to enter the show and the hype has worked in favour of TMKOC . Monaz Mevawalla has been in the television industry for almost two decades now. Her first television serial was Chupke Chupke which aired in 2004.

Over the years she has worked in many other television serials like Yes Boss with Rakesh Bedi and Aasif Sheikh, Meet Mila De Rabba with Saurabh Jain, Jab Luv Hua, FIR, a few episodes of CID, and more.
