Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Munmun Dutta aka Babitaji has not been part of the show for the last couple of months. During Mission Kala Kauwa, the storyline of the comedy show on Sony SAB required the presence of only a few characters like Jethalal, Bapuji, Bagha, Popatlal, and Hathibhai. However, the entire star cast returned to the show a couple of weeks ago.
But two actresses from the show, Jennifer Mistry aka Roshan bhabhi, and Munmun Dutta did not join this group of Gokuldham that went to Rang Tarang Resort in Daman. Sometime ago Jennifer clarified that she has not left the show but had taken a break due to certain health issues and has now started shooting for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
However, Munmun Dutta is yet to join the shooting which has triggered rumors that she has decided to leave the show. One of the reasons for these speculations is because, in the month of May this year, FIR from different parts of India was registered against Munmun after she shared a video clip in which the actress reportedly had used a castiest slur.

While Munmun clarified that it was quite unintentional as she was not actually aware of its meaning, even then a particular section of the society was enraged with her. That is why many believed that the famous telly actress has decided to quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
However, according to the latest report, Munumn Dutta will continue as Babitaji on TMKOC and may soon join the shooting for the show. In the famous comedy show, currently, the focus is on the troubles the purush mandali is facing after their plans of party sharty get discovered by Bapuji and Mahila mandal. In the upcoming episodes, mahila mandal of Gokuldham will punish their husbands for planning a secret party. Now, it would be interesting to watch how exactly they will punish the purush mandali.
