According to the latest reports, the shooting plans in Kenya have been cancelled. Reportedly, the Baahubali maker is also ready with a Plan B.

Eminent filmmaker SS Rajamouli's upcoming globetrotting action adventure SSMB29 (working title) has been the talk of the town since the announcement. Rajamouli filmed some major sequences in Hyderabad and Koraput (Odisha) with Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Well, according to the latest reports, the shooting plans in Kenya have been cancelled. Reportedly, the Baahubali maker is also ready with a Plan B.

Why Shooting Plans Were Called Off in Kenya?

After a break, the team had plans of heading to Kenya and commencing the third schedule. It was earlier reported that the team will jet off to Kenya in mid-July with plans of a month-long shooting schedule. However, according to the latest reports, the shooting in Kenya has been called off due to unrest in the country.

A close source associated with the film revealed to the portal that Rajamouli and his team had finalised the locations. However, just weeks before the mid-July shoot, unrest began brewing in the region. Amid the ongoing protests, they couldn't risk the crew's safety.

Rajamouli Ready With Plan B?

According to the media report, Rajamouli and his team don't want to waste time and are planning to head to South Africa and Tanzania. A unit member revealed to the portal that the RRR maker wanted terrains that have rarely been featured on Indian screens, and South Africa and Tanzania offer similar visually appealing locations. The member also shared that currently, the team is in the process of securing permits, and if things work out, the entire cast and crew will head to South Africa by the third week of July.

Well, fans certainly can't wait for more official updates on the movie.

Rajamouli Parts Ways With Cinematographer Senthil!

Amid this, reports have surfaced that the filmmaker parted ways with cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar, who is behind most of the landmark films by Rajamouli, including Magadheera, Eega, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, and RRR.

While speaking to Telugu 360, Senthil Kumar confirmed that he is not a part of Rajamouli's current venture, and it was the filmmaker's decision to go ahead with someone else.

Senthil said, “It was Rajamouli’s call. He wanted to try someone else. People want to do different films with different people, right? So it is a good break.”
