Celebrities trying out new diets and drinks for fitness and health is nothing new. Rather, these are the people who many times start a particular fitness trend and influence their fans to follow suit. The latest to try out a new health-benefiting option is Shruti Haasan who seems to have switched to black water. In one of her videos, the actress can be seen drinking the potent liquid and saying that she was quite excited to try this black water and that it is not black water but alkaline water.

Apart from Shruti, there have been many celebrities of late who have switched to drinking this alkaline drink. Bollywood beauty Urvashi Rautela was spotted a few months ago carrying a bottle with black liquid. Reportedly she has switched to drinking this on a regular basis for health reasons. Fitness trendsetter and celebrity Malaika Arora also seems to have started drinking this super water obviously for better health.

Malaika was spotted carrying a bottle with black liquid some time ago and in a reply to paparazzi, she confirmed that she drinks black alkaline water.

Fans have spotted the Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli carrying a bottle of black water many times at the airport. It is natural alkaline black water that is supposed to keep the body hydrated as its pH is very high. As expected, the cost of this water is also very high. While a bottle of regular water is priced at Rs 20-30, black water is priced in between Rs 3000-4000/liter.

According to reports, one of the reasons why celebrities are switching to black water is because many lives were lost during the Corona pandemic because of the lack of proper oxygen levels in the body. Since black water is supposed to maintain the pH level of the body and contains 70 plus minerals, it is said to offer better immunity and health benefits than normal water.
