Shraddha Kapoor surpasses PM Modi to become 3rd most followed Indian on Insta after Virat, PeeCee

Shraddha Kapoor has been one of the most followed Indian celebrities on Instagram. While Virat Kohli leads the list and PeeCee has been in the second spot for a long time now, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was placed at the third spot as the most-followed Indian celebrity on Instagram for some time now.

Today, however, Shraddha Kapoor surpassed PM Modi to become the 3rd most followed Indian on Instagram. And the credit goes to her latest big hit Stree 2. While now Shraddha Kapoor is followed by 91.4 million people on Instagram, Narendra Modi is followed by 91.3 million people.

Virat Kohli is way ahead with 270 million followers on Instagram and is the most followed Indian on the leading social media platform. On the second spot is Priyanka Chopra with 91.8 million Instagram followers. With the way Stree 2 is getting a response in the theatre, it seems that Shraddha may come closer to surpassing PeeCee or even beat her to become the second most followed Indian celebrity on Instagram soon.

Ironically, although it is actresses like Alia Bhatt, Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna who are working actively in Bollywood and getting high remuneration, Shraddha Kapoor with very few releases every year continues to be a hot favourite Indian actress among Bollywood lovers.

Interestingly, in Stree 2 Rajkummar Rao has a meatier and larger role as compared to Shraddha but before the release of this sequel, it was promoted that the movie is led by the Bollywood actress. And it is because she is more popular among the audience than Rajkummar Rao and the makers believed that more than the actor, Shraddha will be able to attract audience to the theaters.

It is also surprising that without the backing of big banners like YRF and Dharma Productions, the Baaghi actress has managed to gain so much popularity and deliver hits from time to time.
