'Crush' Varun Dhawan rejected Shraddha Kapoor's proposal as 'Bhediya' didn't like girls! 'Stree' shares anecdote

Shraddha Kapoor is riding high on the success of Stree 2, also starring Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee with Varun Dhawan's Bhediya and Akshay Kumar's cameo appearances. Moviegoers are all hearts for Shraddha's powerful performance in Stree 2. The Amar Kaushik directorial has set a new benchmark with the highest single-day collection on Sunday. With this, the total domestic collection has reached Rs 204 crore. 

However, did you know, Shraddha once proposed Varun Dhawan? However, the Bhediya actor rejected her proposal.

Recalling an incident from their childhood, Shraddha revealed how she had a crush on Varun but ended up getting rejected. During a candid chat with Subhankar Mishra, the Stree actress recalled the funny incident. 

Shraddha said, "Hum humare dads ke shoot pe gaye the. Mujhe bachpan me Varun pe chhota sa crush tha (We had joined our dad during one of their shoots. As a kid, I had a small crush on Varun).”

Further, she added, "Hum mountain top pe gaye, waha pe khelte khelte gaye. Maine bola, ‘Main ek baat bolungi Varun, main ulta bolungi to aap uska meaning samajh jaana.’ (While we were playing, we reached the top of a mountain. I said, ‘Varun, I will say something in a reverse way, and you’ll have to figure it out)."

"Maine bola, ‘You love I.’ Usne bola, ‘Mujhe ladkiyan pasand nahi hain.’ Aur wo bhaag ke chala gaya (So, I said, ‘You love I.’ He replied, ‘I don’t like girls.’ Then he ran away),” she added. 

Well, fans recently were seen performing on a romantic track, Khoobsurat sung by Vishal Mishra from Stree 2. Fans loved their chemistry and demanded the duo to work together in a romantic movie. 

Notably, Varun Dhawan married his longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal in 2021. The couple recently welcomed their daughter on June 3, 2024. 

On the other hand, Shraddha is reportedly dating Rahul Mody, who is three years younger than her. As per earlier buzz in the industry, Shraddha dated celebrity photographer Rohan Shrestha for four years and the duo broke up in 2022.
