Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan will be making a striking comeback in 2023. It seems SRK is all set to compensate for the losses his fans suffered these years of not seeing him on-screen after Zero.

However, it seems SRK is quite influenced by the series of south blockbusters and has decided to go 'south way' to make a striking comeback. SRK will be taking a pan-India route. The movie will release simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Nonetheless, following the massive success of movies like KGF: Chapter 1, Pushpa: The Rise, RRR and KGF: Chapter 2, the Chennai Express actor opted to target pan-India audience with Jawan.

While fans are quite excited for Pathaan, on Friday, Bollywood Badshah made a fresh announcement about teaming up with filmmaker Atlee for an action movie titled 'Jawan'.

SRK's post read: "An action-packed 2023!! Bringing #Jawan to you, an explosive entertainer in cinemas 2nd June 2023."

Presented by Red Chillies Entertainment and produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies banner, 'Jawan' is set to arrive in theatres on June 2, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, making it Shah Rukh Khan's first pan-India film.

The Zero actor commenting on his latest announcement said, "'Jawan' is a universal story that goes beyond languages, geographies and is for all to enjoy. Credit goes to Atlee for creating this unique film, which has also been a fantastic experience for me as I love action films! The teaser is the just tip of the iceberg and gives a glimpse into what's to come".

As the title announcement shows, the movie will be an action-packed flick. The video promises a spectacular event with high octane action sequences. While SRK is seen wounded in the special video and wraps up himself in bandage. The backdrop seems to be a secret den from where he operates his works. The room is filled with weapons and several other things required for a secret mission.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Atlee said, "'Jawan' has something in it for everyone be it actions, emotions, drama all woven in to create a visual spectacle. I want to give the audiences an exceptional experience, an event which they all can enjoy and who better to deliver it than Shah Rukh Khan himself, presented like never before."

Atlee is known for helming a string of successful blockbuster flicks in the south like Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal and Bigil to name a few.

2023 to witness comeback of SRK

SRK was last seen in Zero, also starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead. The movie released in 2018 while Kannada Rocking Star Yash's KGF: Chapter 1 hit the theatres. Shah's craze dimmed in front of the Kannada actor and bombed at the box office. Since then, fans are waiting eagerly for his comeback.

Fans are well aware that SRK is all set for Pathaan, which is in post-production phase. Pathaan also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, the actor had also announced his other flick Dunki with which he will be first time teaming up with Rajkumar Hirani. Though there are no more updates regarding Dunki, fans are quite excited about the movie.

Apart from these three movies scheduled to release next year, SRK will be seen in several other movies.

As per reports, SRK will be seen making a cameo appearance in R Madhavan starrer Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. Moreover, he will be also seen in a cameo role in Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha which will mark the first onscreen appearance of Salman, Aamir and Shah Rukh together. Reports also suggest SRK will be making a guest appearance and special appearance in Brahmāstra and Tiger 3 respectively.
