Renowned Odia comedian Ajay Nayak passes away at 50 due to heart attack 

The Odia entertainment industry is in deep mourning following the untimely demise of popular television comedian Ajay Nayak, who passed away on Sunday after suffering a massive heart attack. He was 50 years old at the time of his death.

A native of Kanas in Puri district, Ajay Nayak was a household name across Odisha, best known for his iconic roles in the satirical political television series “The Great Odisha Political Circus”, aired on Odisha Television (OTV). 

His sharp wit, comic timing, and ability to portray political satire through humor made him one of the most beloved figures on Odia television.

Ajay had been associated with the show since 2010, and for more than a decade, he entertained thousands of viewers, leaving an indelible mark on the state's comedy scene. Through his roles, he provided not just laughter but also critical commentary on current affairs and political developments, making him a favorite among both young and old audiences.

Following his sudden demise, his mortal remains have been kept at Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar, where family members, colleagues, fans, and well-wishers are gathering to pay their last respects. An air of sorrow and disbelief surrounds the hospital as the news of his death spreads among the entertainment community.
