  • Pooja has multiple projects both in South and Bollywood lined up for release.
  • Kiara Advani and Rashmika Mandanna are also grabbing good projects in both South movies and Bollywood.

Bollywood and South Indian crossovers have now become the next big thing in the Indian film industry. And leading it from the front are the top young names like Rashmika Mandanna, Pooja Hegde, and Kiara Advani. While other big names like Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif from Bollywood and Samantha Akkineni and Nayanthara from the South are also doing crossover movies, it is the young brigade of Rashoo, Pooja, and Kiara that is grabbing major flicks and are expected to make the fight for good and big banner movies tougher.

Kiara Advani has emerged as one of the strongest contenders for the slot of topmost Bollywood actress after back-to-back hits like Kabir Singh and Good Newws. She is currently doing some good Hindi movies like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, and Shershaah; and recently, she was also roped in for a big flick with Ram Charan.

Pooja Hegde is already a big name in the South. While her debut Bollywood movie Mohenjo Daro with Hrithik Roshan failed to boost up her career in the Hindi films, she kept on moving ahead within the South industry and also attracted a few good projects from the B-town. Post-Housefull 4, demand for Pooja has increased and now she is a part of Salman Khan’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus opposite Ranveer Singh. Pooja Hegde has also been roped in for Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast and will be seen opposite Akhil Akkineni in Most Eligible Bachelor and Radhe Shyam opposite Prabhas.

Coming to Rashmika Mandanna, this young actress who started off her journey in the film industry with Kirk Party released in 2016, is now cleverly balancing both Bollywood and South Indian flicks. While she already has two big B-town projects-Mission Majnu with Sidharth Malhotra and Goodbye with Amitabh Bachchan in her kitty, the heart crush of India also has Pushpa with Stylish Star Allu Arjun scheduled to release this Christmas.

Interestingly, in all these crossovers, the names of Sara Ali Khan, Disha Patani, or Janvhi Kapoor are completely missing. While Ananya Panday is doing Liger with Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda, a multi-lingual movie, it cannot be a South Indian movie as it is bankrolled by Karan Johar.

So, this fight for films will become more intense in the days to come because of Rashmika Mandanna, Kiara Advani, and Pooja Hegde who are undoubtedly a blend of beauty and talent.
