  • Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashamah’s one episode featured Disha Vakani aka Dayaben’s father.
  • Bhim Vakani performed the role of Mavji Bhai Chheda-a friend of Champaklal Gada.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah recently completed 13 years of providing laughter and entertainment to the audience. One of the leading members who contributed to the success of this hit comedy show on Sony SAB were Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal and Disha Vakani aka Dayaben. Disha took a break from the show almost three years ago and is yet to report when she would be back.

Apart from Disha, her brother Mayur Vakani also has been a part of the show since the beginning and plays the role of Sundarlal. But very few people know that even the father of Disha once appeared on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Reportedly, he appeared as Mavji Bhai Chheda- a friend of Champaklal Gada who also lives in Mumbai. Disha’s father Bhim Vakani featured in an episode in which Bagha created a big problem for Jethalal.

Actually, Jethalal had asked him to gift a pressure cooker to Mavji Bhai Chheda as a wedding gift for his son and Rs 50000 to the secretary of the Gokuldham society-Atmaram Tukaram Bhide. But Bagha did the opposite. He instead gifted Rs 50000 to Mavji Bhai and a pressure cooker to Bhide. It created a big mess and laughter leading to a major misunderstanding between Champaklal Gada, Jethalal, Bhide, and Mavji Bhai.

While Disha Vakani has been absent for a long time, her brother Mayur featured in a few episodes of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah a couple of months ago and continues to be a part of the show. Apart from Disha Vakani, fans are also missing Munmun Dutta aka Babitaji who has not made an appearance on the show ever since the story shifted to Rang Tarang Resort and focused on the Kala Kauwa mission.

After having a refreshing holiday in Daman’s Rang Tarang Resort, now the Gokuldhamwasi are back and recently remembered late Dilip Kumar and sang a few memorable songs of the Tragedy King of Indian cinema.
