He is the grandson of Allu Rama Lingaiah. His grandfather was a doctor and a freedom fighter who actively was involved in India’s freedom struggle.
Ram Charan made his debut in 2007 with the action-packed Chirutha. The film emerged as a box office hit and he clinched the Filmfare Award (South) for Best Male Debut.
