Prabhas' Salaar Exclusive: From double role, leaked storyline to inevitable clash with Jawan

The next big movie of Prabhas is Salaar scheduled to release next month. Directed by the KGF fame director Prashanth Neel, the movie is being produced in two parts and is expected to showcase the Rebel star in an entirely new avatar.

Since it is a big movie, there have been speculations and rumours related to Salaar and some time ago a few shots from the sets of the flick were also leaked.

Here are a few updates on this highly awaited Prabhas movie.

Prabhas in a double role

There are strong rumours that the Saaho actor will be playing a double role in Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire. Both the looks of Prabhas will be entirely different and the second character will make an appearance when the first one will be surrounded by multiple enemies and is in need of help. That is when the second character of Prabhas will make an entry and save the other look alike.

This buzz of double Prabhas in Salaar surfaced online when a fan got to visit the shooting location of Salaar and got an inkling about the storyline.

Shooting base shifted

The leaked stories made the production house shift the shooting location so that no further leaks regarding the story or even from the shooting site occurred. Both Prashanth Neel and the production house of Hombale Films have kept the storyline of Salaar under wraps and that is one of the USPs of the movie which neither of the two want to compromise upon.

International star to feature in massive fight sequence

In Salaar 1, Prabhas is expected to fight with the international mafia and it will be a long, and massive fight sequence. Reportedly, the production house has roped in a famous Hollywood actor for the scene so that the fight looks more real and relevant. Other star casts of the movie include Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Trailer release, budget and more

Fans are eagerly waiting for the makers to release the teaser of Salaar 1. Earlier it was thought that the trailer will release in August but now it is expected to hit the web screens on September 1. As expected the budget of this movie is high and is around 250 crores. The second installment will also be made on the same budget and will be released in 2024.

Jawan and Salaar 1 box-office clash

Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara’s Jawan will be released on September 7. Salaar 1 will also be released in the same month on September 28, almost 3 weeks later. Given the hype around the Atlee-helmed movie, Jawan is expected to run for more than a month at least and can prove to be a competition for Salaar 1 in both domestic and international markets as both SRK and Prabhas have huge global followings.
