Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming high-octane action-packed movie Jawan is one of the most talked about flicks. The movie is making headlines soon after the announcement of Atlee helming the flick and Nayanthara being roped in as the onscreen lady love of SRK. Moreover, the addition of Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist has also raised the excitement among cine lovers.

Earlier, Vijay Sethupathi admitted that he accepted Jawan’s offer only for Shah Rukh Khan as he couldn’t afford to miss the opportunity to work with the actor. And now, an old video is doing rounds on social media which reveals the 'secret reason' behind Nayan bagging the SRK-starrer movie.

Nayanthara with her stellar character portrayal and charismatic beauty has cemented her place in the hearts of South movie lovers. Now, all eyes are on Jawan as the South beauty is making her Bollywood debut and Atlee is foraying into Bollywood with the movie.

However, a chunk of cine lovers still is anxious as to what inspired Nayan to foray into Bollywood after glorious innings of over a decade in the South industry.

In the old video from 2013 at the 7th Vijay Awards, Shah Rukh Khan gets honoured with the Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan Award for Excellence in Indian Cinema. The event was hosted by Gopinath and R Madhavan. In the video, Nayanthara walked onto the stage to present an award. Meanwhile, the host mentioned that she (Nayanthara) is an ardent fan of SRK.

At the moment, the 'Chak De! India' actor was seated among the audience and he playfully gestured that he intends to bring Nayanthara to Bollywood. This evoked a huge round of applause and a bright smile from Director Atlee.

The old video has gone viral on social media with a caption reading: A decade ago, SRK made a promise and Atlee celebrated it with applause. What was once a dream ten years ago is now a reality! Perhaps its a testament to Atlee’s hard work!”

As the theatrical release date of Jawan is inching closer, the excitement among fans is rising high. Moreover, the excitement among South movie lovers remains high as Atlee is making his B Town debut with the flick after serving three consecutive blockbusters in the South. Moreover, it is also speculated that Thalapathy Vijay may have a special appearance in the movie and the announcement of Deepika Padukone’s special appearance has elated many.

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, the film also casts Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and more. The movie scheduled for theatrical release on September 7 will simultaneously release in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages.
