Pawandeep Rajan and Arunita Kanjilal have now become big stars post their successful journey on Indian Idol 12. These two singers will soon tour the US along with a few other co-contestants and perform in some of the most happening cities of America. Post the show, both Arunita and Pawandeep continue to be in limelight for their duets, appearances on various television shows, and also for their romantic vibes.
But this success, now that these two youngsters are enjoying, is the result of long years of practice and hard work.
Music Runs in Genes of Pawandeep
The singer hails from Uttarakhand’s beautiful place Champawat and has a musical background as his father Suresh Rajan is well known in the state as Kaumani folk singer. Even his sister Jyotideep Rajan has established her name in singing with her soulful singing. Pawandeep is not only a good singer but also very good at playing different instruments and even won the youngest table player award when he was just 2 years old.
Over the years he has been performing as the lead vocalist in the Rait band from Chandigarh which also includes Paras Roriyal, Pawan Bhatt, and Vishant Nagra. He made his television debut in 2015 on The Voice India and won the show and prize money of INR 50 lakhs, a contract with a Music Company, and a car.
Before joining Indian Idol 12, he had already few albums to his name and sang songs for movies and toured overseas in more than 13 countries for concerts including Dubai, Thailand, Malaysia, South Africa and more. Winning the trophy of Indian Idol this season has further enhanced his career prospects.
Arunita Kanjilal Has a Musical Background
Father of Arunita is a teacher of classical music and hence no wonder she started learning classical singing at a very young age. Prior to coming to Indian Idol 12, she had a good understanding of performing on the stage of big reality shows as she had already won Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil’ Champs in 2013.
Apart from her maternal uncle and father, Arunita has also taken classes of classical music from Pune’s Ravindra Ganguly. Since winning the Lil’ Champs on Zee Bangla, she has been performing across the country and has a huge fan following on social media.
So even before Indian Idol 12 happened, both Arunita and Pawandeep were big names in their respective spheres but post this show, they have now become pan India stars.
