Popular Odia singer Aseema Panda on Saturday took to social media to express her discontentment over rumours of her accidental death circulating on different media handles. The singer busted the rumours of her accident in a video released on Saturday wherein she requested everyone not to believe in the fake news.

As stated by the singer in the video, it was actually her brother who met with a minor accident on Friday night while returning home from office. Her brother broke his hand in the accident and no other injury was caused to him.

However, certain rumour mongers started circulating the fake news claiming that the singer had a major accident on Friday night in which she sustained grievous injuries. The rumours also claimed Aseema to have succumbed in the road mishap.

Clearing airs over the viral fake claims, Aseema further stated that she was not even present in the car when a truck hit the car her brother was driving.

"I am perfectly fine and at home. My brother faced an accident yesterday and it was a minor one in which he broke his hand. I was not even present in the car," said a visibly upset Aseema.

Heaving a sigh of sadness Aseema added, "Accidents are after all accidents only, no one can predict. Every hour accidents are reported from several locations in Odisha. I don't get it why certain handles blew up this incident. The false news claimed rash driving, Aseema Panda's death and Aseema being severely injured..."

Blaming various rogue social media handles and YouTube channels (and other social media pages) posing as authorized news handles in circulating such damning rumours Aseema said, "Renowned and established media houses don't indulge in such fakery or rumour-mongering. Only fake channels are responsible for such irresponsible news."

Expressing her disappointment, the singer further said that her family was going through a tough time (on account of her brother's accident) and such rumours are extremely painful. Aseema also requested all to support her and her family as such fake news are creating stressful situations for them at home.

Aseema requested her fans to stay away from such fake social media news channels and pages and not to entertain them. She also asked all to report and block such pages and channels.

Expressing gratitude to her supporters, Aseema warned of serious actions against the rumour mongers.
