Undeniably, movie lovers have several memories of Kal Ho Naa Ho. Moreover, the songs composed by the music director trio- Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy still trigger emotions among music lovers. Above all, the title song Kal Ho Naa Ho, which was voiced by Sonu Nigam, still remains one of the most loved romantic tracks. Movie buffs are well aware that in the middle of the shooting, Karan Johar wanted to take over and direct the movie.

Now, Nikkhil Advani revealed that he had fallout with Karan after the movie's release. They stopped communicating with each other.

Advani started his career as an assistant director under Sudhir Mishra. Later, he went on to direct Kal Ho Naa Ho.

During an interview, the helmer revealed that he incorporates elements from Sudhir and Karan styles into his movies. However, he shared that he feels more connected with Sudhir Mishra's style.

Further, he expressed his desire to recreate the emotional depth found in Salam-e-ishq or Kal Ho Naa Ho. He aims to blend Sudhir's realism with KJo's dramatic flair in his own movies, such as D-Day and Mumbai Diaries.

Further, the filmmaker credited the late actor Irrfan Khan for influencing his perspective on filmmaking. During the interview, he recalled their collaboration in D-Day and mentioned that he had nothing to lose which empowered him not to compromise on his vision.

As per Advani, Irrfan's advice to focus on enjoying the process rather than stressing over details resonated with him and became a guiding principle in his career.

On the work front, Advani is all set for his upcoming Vedaa starring John Abraham and Sharvari. The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 12. The first look of the movie was dropped recently by the makers.
