It was on February 26, 2010, that Gautham Vasudev Menon’s ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ hit the cinemas. It introduced Tollywood’s once-most loved couple Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya to the world.

Both Samantha and Naga Chaitanya collaborated for the first time in their career. It was during the shooting of this film, that the two lovebirds struck a chord and soon their relationship blossomed into love and eventually marriage.

Fans loved their on-screen chemistry and gave them so much to the film. The two lovebirds secretly dated each other for quite a few years and finally got married on Oct 6, 2017, in Goa. The couple celebrated their wedding with both Hindu and Christian rituals.

However, their marriage was short-lived. The much-loved couple ended their marriage only after four years of togetherness, leaving their fans in shock. Even as the two have moved on in their lives, fans are now blaming Tollywood Prince and superstar Mahesh Babu for their divorce.

Yes, you read that right! Though, a well-known family man and father of two kids, superstar Mahesh Babu is being blamed for the controversial divorce. Well, before you jump into any conclusion, Mahesh Babu was the first choice of director Gautham Vasudev Menon for ‘Ye Maya Chesave’.

So, fans are claiming that Samantha would have not met Naga Chaitanya if Mahesh Babu had taken up the lead role, thereby preventing the love relationship, marriage and the subsequent divorce.

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya met during Ye Maya Chesave, a movie initially written for Mahesh Babu. Mahesh rejected the role, leading to Chay’s casting. Fans speculate that if Mahesh had taken the role Chaitanya and Samantha would never have met, married, and would have led separate lives without the problems that followed.
