Not Himesh Reshammiya, Salman Khan composed the tune of THIS chartbuster song! Watch

Music composer-cum-singer-cum-actor Himesh Reshammmiya is back in the headlines for his upcoming flick Badass Ravi Kumar. Himesh in a completely new avatar seems to have won the hearts of moviegoers, unlike his past movies. Though Himesh didn't taste much success as an actor, as a singer and music composer, he has delivered numerous memorable songs and scripted several records. But, did you know one of his blockbuster songs, Teri Meri in Bodyguard, was not composed by Himesh? Rather, it was Salman Khan who composed the tune!

Salman Khan Composed 'Teri Meri' Tune!

Recently, an old video surfaced on social media that shows Salman and Himesh sharing the same stage on Bigg Boss. In the video, Salman is seen singing 'Teri Meri'. However, Himesh interrupts him and says, "Aap hi ne banaya hai..."

Taking a short pause, Himesh continues, "Bhai, abhi do international baat bata doon, ki aap gaane wale ho..."

Salman stops singing and says, "Na Na na na...Kuch aise, kuch nahi batana."

Himesh continued, "Yeh raat ko teen baaje bhai ne hi banaya tha. Aur itne jyada blessed hain, aur yeh sachai hai isi liye mujhe bolna padega, jinko nahi patta ki 'Teri Meri Prem Kahani' mein Salman bhai ne... Matlab samajh lijiye Salman bhai ka hi ganna hai."

While the crowd cheered, Salman said, "Woh kya hai ki raat mein kabhi kabhi achi achi cheezein aa jati hain. Unme se yeh 'Teri Meri' thi. Aur maine Sajid-Wajid ko phone kiya, Daboo Malik ko phone kiya, aur Himesh ko phone kiya, kisine phone nahi uthaya. Phir maine socha ki aab mein kya karoon. Phir yeh idea aya ki, jisne bhi mujhe subah ko pehla phone kiya, yeh gaana uske pass jayega. Missed call dekha, toh Himesh ka missed call tha. Toh Himesh ko yeh gaana milgaya aur Himesh ne toh gaane ko toh char chaand laga diye."

Himesh and Salman's Collaborations

Fans are well aware that it was Salman Khan who introduced Himesh in Bollywood as a music director with 1998's Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. While both the songs he composed for the movie became super hits, the duo again teamed up for Bandhan and Hello Brother. However, as a solo music composer, he composed the songs for Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge. Later on, he composed songs for Salman's films including Yeh Hai Jalwa, Tere Naam,  Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya!, Kyun Ki, Bodyguard, Kick, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Radhe and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. While there are numerous songs from all these movies, that became chartbusters, there are a few songs that got etched into the minds and hearts of music lovers.

Among such songs, Teri Meri from Bodyguard holds a special place. Featuring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Teri Meri was sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shreya Ghosal. The song bagged numerous accolades.
