Pratibha Ranta is currently going through a magical phase in her career. Both her movie and OTT release have received a lot of attention and her work has been appreciated. Pratibha’s Laapataa Ladies has won the hearts of the audience who have called this Kiran Rao-helmed movie much better than the so-called high-budget flicks with big superstars.

Her portrayal of Shama in Heeramandi has also received a lot of appreciation. Despite sharing the screen with big stars like Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Richa Chaddha, Pratibha Ranta managed to make her presence felt. While comparing her two roles from Laapataa Ladies and Heermandi, the actress recently said that there were a few things common in both these characters even though the roles were entirely different.

Ranta said that both these characters wanted freedom and liberation. She also revealed what inspired her when she started her journey as an actress. The young actress said, “Initially Kangana was a great role model for me because she is from Himachal. I am from Himachal. Initially, I think she played a very important role in my life because you know the kind of passion she had. I was able to relate to that passion.”

She added, “Then eventually I think Alia Bhatt took it over. Like the kind of films she has been doing right now. She did Highway and then Rocky Aur Rani.” Talking about her future projects and wishes, Pratibha Ranta expressed her desire to reunite with Sanjay Leela Bhansali . She said, “I have to work more with Sanjay sir. Next time, I have to work on a big scale with Sanjay sir. I have seen Alia and Deepika. Oh my god, I like Ram Leela so much. I also have to dance. I want to dance with my heart open.”
