  • Red Chillies has roped in famous action director Siddharth Anand for its action sequences.

Shah Rukh Khan is now doing a full-fledged role in King bankrolled by his banner Red Chillies Entertainment. Earlier the team had decided that SRK would do a cameo in King similar to his role in Dear Zindagi with Alia Bhatt. Since King was supposed to be the launch vehicle for Suhana Khan, SRK was planning to remain in the background. But now the King himself has decided to lead the film and his daughter will be playing a parallel lead.

King is being directed by Sujoy Ghosh who has directed some amazing flicks like Kahaani, Badla, and Jaane Jaan. But the Bollywood Badshah is not happy with just one director since this flick will also have a lot of action. So, Red Chillies has roped in famous action director Siddharth Anand who has some big blockbusters like War and Pathaan to his credit. With two big directors collaborating for one movie, the budget for King has also been extended a lot.

According to Peeping Mom, the project is at present in prep mode and the movie will be shot extensively in India as well as abroad. The source says, “The SRK-Suhana film has undergone multiple rewrites and polishing in the past few months. The project was earlier intended to be a mega theatrical debut vehicle for Suhana, with SRK merely playing a cameo, much like he did in Alia Bhatt's Dear Zindagi. But the script has now been altered, turning it into a proper Shah Rukh Khan film, with Suhana playing a parallel lead alongside him.”

At present, the details of the plot are kept a secret but a buzz says that SRK is playing the role of a mentor to Suhana who faces perilous situations. Buzz is that despite being a rural, unadulterated action thriller, the movie will also be high on emotions and will keep the viewers hooked to their seats.

It seems Shah Rukh Khan wants to use his superstardom to ensure that Suhana’s Bollywood launch will not go unnoticed.
