Rocking Star Yash's upcoming action movie KGF Chapter 2 is hitting the headlines every now and then. Being one of the most anticipated movies of the year, fans are going crazy over every update regarding KGF 2. The sequel of the KGF franchise was earlier scheduled to release on July 16. However, owing to the pandemic situation, things didn't work out and the makers decided to postpone the release date.

KGF Chapter 2 starring Yash and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead, and renowned actors like Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj is a high-action packed movie. The magnum opus is not meant for OTT or small screens. The bone-chilling action in the high-octane movie can only be enjoyed at the fullest only on the silver screen. Thus, the makers have confirmed its theatrical release only. As the pandemic situation is showing signs of improvement across India, and different states are announcing relaxation in COVID rules, soon the cinema halls may open following a government notification.

Recently, the makers had announced that "the monster will only arrive when the hall is filled with gangsters." This announcement certainly clarifies the intentions of the makers.
In an exclusive interview with BollywoodLife, distributor Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment was quoted as saying that the makers are looking at a proper theatrical release for which they don't mind waiting.
“KGF 2 would be out as soon as possible because the makers are very clear they have to wait for the theatres to open. Plus, it's more of a pan-India release, with the South market (taken into consideration)," Ritesh was quoted as saying.
Furthermore, the distributor added, "We're only distributing it this side (in North Indian markets), so it's not our decision mainly, it's up to the producer, Vijay (Vijay Kiragandur), and Yash and the Director, Prashanth (Prashanth Neel). So, they are going to decide that.”
Fans are keeping vigil eyes on every update regarding KGF 2 and are quite eager in tracking the final release date. Meanwhile, rumour mills are abuzz that the makers are planning to release the movie on September 9, while some other rumour-mongers are spreading the buzz that KGF Chapter 2 final release date has been locked for December.
However, the makers have cleared the air regarding the speculations and busted the buzz in the industry regarding KGF 2 release. KGF Chapter 2 final release date announcement largely depends on the COVID pandemic factor in the country. Even the country is prepping up for COVID 3rd wave likely to hit India in September or October, as briefed by experts. Under such circumstances, the makers might find themselves in chaotic situations.
Now, fans have to wait until an official announcement from the makers of KGF Chapter 2.
