KGF Chapter 2 May Release In South Indian Versions Ahead Of Hindi 

Anticipation among fans and movie lovers for KGF Chapter 2 has been building up with each passing day since the release of KGF. The eagerness among fans has reached the zenith now. However, the fact that still haunts everyone is the announcement of KGF Chapter 2 final release date. The makers are yet to make the big announcement, leaving the KGF fandom in a lurch. 

Though the Covid-19 pandemic situation across the country is showing signs of improvement, a possible threat of the third wave (as predicted by health experts) can't be ignored. 

As promised and announced by the KGF makers, the movie will only hit the silver screen when the theatres are filled with audience (hinting at complete unlock without any restrictions). However, considering the possible third wave before the year-end, there were several speculations that the makers might release the much-awaited movie on OTT.

As per the latest reports, a leading online streaming platform had given a tempting offer to the makers to make the digital premiere of KGF Chapter 2. However, the makers turned down the big offer for OTT streaming and are concrete with their earlier decision of releasing KGF 2 in theatres only. 

The makers reportedly declined a whopping amount for OTT streaming. However, there are no confirmed reports regarding the exact amount. 

"They are getting extremely tempting offers to break their theatre-only resolve," Box Office World Wide quoted a close source of Kannada star Yash as saying.

Another reputed source was quoted as saying that a leading OTT streaming platform offered a huge amount of Rs 255 crore for the digital premiere.

The source further said, "There is no way Yash will let down his fans by releasing KGF 2 on the digital platform. If push comes to shove, they will release the South Indian version in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil first and the Hindi version will be released in North India after the makers feel an inclination of movie lovers to return to the theatres."

Earlier the Rocking Star said, “No matter how long we have to wait we will wait to release KGF 2 in theatres only. If the audience can wait, so can we.”

Considering the current pandemic situation, it can be said that the government may not allow the theatres to run in full-fledge and it would be challenging to draw the audience to the cinema halls targeted for the Hindi version release. 

However, the makers are yet to give an official statement regarding the same, as well as, the final release date of KGF Chapter 2.
