Recently, the official trailer was released by Amitabh Bachchan that revealed the historical picture covering the growth of criminals in India from 1940s-80s. Earlier, Kabzaa teaser triggered a controversy and movie lovers went on to compare the movie with the 2022 blockbuster Kannada movie KGF Chapter 2.

However, lead actor Upendra cleared the air related to all related rumours and comparisons with KGF. During a recent event in Mumbai, Upendra said, “Don’t compare this film with KGF. The look and feel is similar, but after trailer, everyone knows that this is not KGF, but a completely different storyline. I assure you that it is a completely different film.”

The storyline of Kabzaa revolves around the 1945 British Raj. Directed by R Chandru, the movie narrates the story of an air force soldier; the son of a freedom fighter who emerges to rule the mafia world. The movie scheduled for theatrical release on March 17, 2023, on the occasion of Puneeth Rajkumar's birthday, will simultaneously release in seven languages including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, and Odia.

Baahubali (both parts one and two), KGF (both parts one and two), RRR, Pushpa: The Rise, Kantara and Karthikeya (to name a few) have emerged as highly successful and performed well at the box office while leaving an ever-lasting hangover. Meanwhile, another Kannada movie Kabzaa is scheduled for a pan-India release. Well, the success or failure of the movie can be judged after the movie releases in theatres.
