The career of Indian Idol 12’s Shanmukha Priya is going great guns. Even though she did not win the trophy or was not a part of the top 3, the talented singer did manage to attract the attention of Tollywood superstar Vijay Deverakonda who promised her a playback opportunity in his upcoming multilingual flick Liger.
Recently, SMP, as she is fondly called, opened about her journey on music reality shows and what she felt after a big star like Vijay Deverakonda offered her a major opportunity. Talking to Times of India, Shanmukha Priya said she is a huge fan of Deverakonda and she still finds it unbelievable that he noticed her and gave her a playback opportunity in his movie.
Shanmukha Priya had participated in many music reality shows on Indian television but it was Indian Idol 12 which really gave her recognition. Talking about the same, she said that audience has seen her growing up on reality shows. While she is doing her singing and shooting for the shows, she also carries her books and has tried to give attention to her studies as well. Undoubtedly, music makes her happy but even then Shanmukha said that over the years she has learned to balance her studies and music.
She added that she loves to study for good marks as well as for knowledge and even during the Indian Idol 12, she carried her books and tried to focus on studies during spare time. Music started early for SMP as at home 24/7 it is all about music. Shanmukha said that finishing 5th on the show did not matter to her much as she was happy to get all the love and support from the audience.
