With the theaters across India slowly opening to their full capacity, big movie producers who had held on to their films for a long time have now come out with their release dates. Already there are a lot of Indian movies that are going to hit the theaters back to back with a gap of even less than 15 days which can affect the box-office collection of the other. But now the Hollywood big production houses like Marvel, Disney 20th Century have also come out with the release dates of their films.

From October 2021 to December 2022, a large number of big Bollywood movies and Southern flicks are slated to hit the theaters. Some of the most anticipated movies that have already created a lot of hype include Sooryavanshi, 83, Jersey, Radhe Shyam, Pushpa: The Rise. KGF2, Prithviraj, Laal Singh Chaddha, Shamshera, Adipurush, RRR and so many more.

While the Indian producers are trying to arrange these release dates keeping in view the festivities around the corner Hollywood producers are also planning to release their biggies around the same time.

Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe Vs Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek-led Eternals

Rajinikanth’s big-budget flick Annaaatthe and Gema Chan, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek’s Eternals are releasing with a gap of only 1 day on 4th and 5th November respectively. The trailer of this Marvel movie has been quite impressive and can make Annaatthe struggle to meet the expected level of success.

Pushpa: The Rise, 83, Jersey Vs. The Matrix Resurrection, The Last Duel

Rashmika Mandanna and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise is releasing on 17th December followed by Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone-led 83 on 25th December, and then Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey on 31st December.

Just a week after Pushpa's release Keanu Reeves, Jada Pinketh Smith, Priyanka Chopra Jonas starrer The Matrix Resurrection, and Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's The Last Duel will hit the Indian theaters on 22nd December. With barely a gap of 4 to 5 days between Pushpa, 83, and the release of The Matrix Resurrection and The Last Duel, followed by 83 and Jersey, the Indian movies which are being hyped as the next blockbusters are going to have a tough time proving it. While Venom: Let There Be Carnage will release all over India on 14th October (very close to Pushpa: The Rise) to gain on the Dussehra holiday momentum, it will release across Maharashtra on 22nd October.

Similarly, Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey, and Robert Pattinson’s Batman are releasing on 4th March next year while Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer remake of Vikram Vedha will clash with Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 7 on September 30, 2022. While the audiences are going to have a win-win situation with a wide variety of content available for viewing, producers are not going to be so fortunate and may need to carry out aggressive promotions to ensure that their ventures turn out to be profitable.
