Popular music reality show Indian Idol 12, which is nearing its finale, has finally found a place in the Top Five of TRP Chart after weeks, however, it was unable to beat Star Plus family drama Anupamaa which continued to top the TRP list for the sixth week in a row.
Following a few controversies, it was earlier expected that the reality show may surpass Anupamaa in the TRP race.
Anupamaa starring Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey and Madalsa Sharma keeps breaking its own record. The show has been able to keep the audience on the hook with the current storyline.

Breaking its previous own record of most impressions, Anupamaa has garnered 3.9 million impressions to top the list. It seems the current track of Kavya's sinister plan to separate Anupamaa from her children has got the show good ratings.
Improving its rating from last week, Ghum Hai Kisi Key Pyaar Mein has grabbed the second spot on the TRP list with 3.2 million impressions Sai and Virat aka Ayesh Singh and Neil Bhatt’s lovey-dovey moments have been able to win hearts of the audience.
Notably, in fact, Ghum Hai Kisi Key Pyaar Mein has been constantly attaining the second spot for more than a month now.
Sumbul Touqueer and Gashmeer Mahajani starrer Imlie secured the third-highest ratings with 2.8 million impressions. Imlie aka Sumbul and Aditya aka Gashmeer are finally together and fans are loving the track.
Making a surprise entry, Indian Idol 12 has finally made comeback in the TRP chart at the fourth position after weeks of its ratings going down following the controversy surrounding the singing reality show.
However, with its finale round the corner reality show has upped its game now. The show received 2.5 million impressions along with Star Plus's Yeh Hai Chahatein.
Popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Super Dancer are fifth on the TRP list with 2.4 million impressions.
TMKOC's Rang Tarang resort plot is being loved by the audience and hence every week the show is amongst the top 5.
Other TV programs that are featured in the top 10 list are Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, Kundali Bhagya, Pandya Store and Udariyaan.
