News Highlights

  • Makers of Rashmika Mandanna and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa-1 are planning to postpone the release to next year.
  • The euphoric response to Rajamouli’s RRR promotional video has forced the Pushpa makers to take this decision.

Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa-1 helmed by Sukumar were earlier scheduled to release in the mid of next month. But now the director and the producer have been forced to postpone the date of its release because first the shooting got delayed as the Stylish Star tested positive for Covid-19.

Later on, heavy rain played spoilsport further halting the progress of the movie. The team of Pushpa was planning to release the first installment of this franchise sometime in October after they reportedly realised that they would fail to meet the earlier scheduled release date of August 13, 2021.

However, after the massive response to RRR’s first look that was unveiled yesterday, now they are in a fix and are thinking of shifting the date to next year. RRR, the ambitious magnum opus helmed by SS Rajamouli starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Ali Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn in the lead will release on October 13. Yesterday, the producers gave a mega treat to fans by unveiling some of the interesting videos during the making of the film. As expected, these BTS clips generated a euphoric response from the fans. The glimpse revealed the first look of all the four leading stars and the response it received was beyond imagination.

That is why the makers of Rashmika Mandanna and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa-1 are thinking of postponing the release. While Allu Arjun is a big Southern star and even Rashoo has a huge fan following, post-Baahubali, the expectations from SS Rajamouli movie has been massive and no filmmaker would like to take a chance by releasing his movie close to the release of RRR.

As per the reports, even KGF Chapter 2’s Prashanth Neel has been thinking on the same line and may plan to release the sequel by the end of this year. By December 2021, the response to RRR may not be strong enough to impact the box-office collection of Yash’s most-awaited movie.
