Katrina Kaif today is the reigning queen of Bollywood and is one of the highest-paid actresses in India. Her beauty and oomph have won millions of young male hearts who keep on following her madly on social media for more updates in her life. But when it comes to her own choices in men, Kats has not been so stable until now. As the Bollywood diva celebrates her birthday today, here's a rundown on her blossoming relationship with friend and mentor Salman Khan.
The beautiful actress was raised by her mother as a single parent who was a social worker and hence shifted countries on regular basis. According to Katrina Kaif, they stayed only for a couple of months in one city or country and shifted to another one. She was taught by home tutors and raised among several siblings. But with no father figure in life, the New York actress never had the privilege of enjoying a secured childhood in the shelter of strong male company.
But that changed when she joined Bollywood and met Salman Khan. Undoubtedly, Salman’s presence in Katrina’s life continues to be the most dominating one. From introducing her through Sohail Khan’s Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya to being with her through all the ups and downs, the superstar has been there with her at every step. Bollywood’s Bhaijan even took her to different producers including Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Sajid Nadiadwala to ensure that Kats features in big-budget movies.

When things were not so good between the two, there was a time when Katrina started dating Ranbir Kapoor. While Salman was much older than her, Ranbir was closer to her age and the two young actors fell in love with each other. While the scion of the Kapoor family cheated on Deepika Padukone to be with Kats, the Chikani Chameli of Bollywood for the first time stood out from the shadows of the Dabangg actor and started living in with Ranbir.
Unfortunately, the relationship could not last long and the two broke during the making of Jagga Jasoos. While the Anurag Basu movie got completed, it could not create the magic that earlier fans enjoyed in Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani. In all these six years when Katrina was in a relationship with Ranbir, her ties with Salman were not so good and the superstar was upset with the way Katrina left him.
But when Ranbir left Katrina Kaif, it was Salman Khan who stepped forward, took her back as a mentor, and ever since then he has always been her biggest support. Currently, there is a strong buzz that Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal are dating each other, and hopefully, they may make it official soon.
Interestingly, while earlier Salman Khan would have been upset with the fact that Katrina is dating someone, nowadays he is only concerned about her happiness which is an indication that over the years the relationship between the superstar and Kats has blossomed from lovers, mentor to a strong friendship.
