This weekend’s Indian Idol 12 episodes will be all about a fight between the boys and the girls. In the absence of regular judges, Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya, and Vishal Dadlani, Anu Malik, and Manoj Muntashir will adorn the chair of judges. It will be an interesting tussle as both Anu Malik and Muntashir will try to fuel a fighting spirit between the contestants and keep on challenging each other.

The promo of the Indian Idol 12 weekend episode shows Anu Malik demanding, “Manoj ji ko haar ka swad chakhaya jaye. Haar ka swad laya jaye. Haar ka swad kidhar hai.” While all the contestants look at all the drama as the drink is brought on, Manoj Muntashir joins Anu Malik on stage and says, “Warning diye bine dushman pe bhi attack nahi karte aur aap to phir bhi mere bade hai. Mein aapko chetawani deta hoon ki agar aap sach mooch chahate hai ki mai ye piyo toh soch lijiye ki main toh ek baar pi ke wahan baith jaoonga magar aapko chaar bar pina padega.”

While Sawai Bhatt will impress everyone with his rendition of Kailash Kher’s “Saiyaan” Arunita Kanjilal will present Lata Mangeshkar’s all-time hit from Reshma Aur Shera – “Tu Chanda Mein Chandani.”

This season of the musical reality show has been embroiled in controversy. From contestants to judges and even host Aditya Narayan everyone has been hitting the headlines most of the time for all the wrong reasons. This is the first time in the history of Indian Idol that even the guests like Amit Kumar have made comments against the show. While this has certainly helped the TRP of the show, Indian Idol 12 has lost its credibility in a big way.

Despite all the controversies, the contestants like Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Sayli Kamble, Sawai Bhatt, Ashish Kulkarni, and Anjali Gaikwad have managed to earn a lot of following and appreciation.
