Pushpa 2: The Rule, KGF: Chapter 2, Animal and Kill are among the most violent films. Be it Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, Yash's KGF 2, Ranbir Kapoor's Animal or Lakshya's Kill, the amount of gore, blood, and violence in all these movies left many viewers in India shocked. Even a section of viewers raised objections to the violence showcased in these movies. Moreover, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal was proclaimed as India's 'Most Violent' film and the next was Kill. However, one movie has broken the record and dethroned Animal to become India's 'Most Violent' film. Moreover, the range of violence shown in the movie reportedly made the viewers throw up in the theatres.
Marco, the new action-thriller Malayalam film, has emerged as India's 'Most Violent' film. Starring Unni Mukundan in the lead, Marco has become the talk of the town for its hyperviolence. Helmed by Aneef Adeni, Marco is a revenge saga also featuring Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu S Thilakan, and Kabir Duhan Singh.
After the initial screening, several viewers shared that the film had much more gore and blood than movies like Animal, Kill and KGF.
According to Manorama, a viewer said, "The woman who sat next to me threw up on my shirt as she couldn’t bear the violent scenes on screen.”
Reportedly, the film was particularly called out for scenes involving graphic violence against children, something that has not been shown explicitly in Indian films.
Marco hit the theatres on December 20 and is successfully running in the theatres. In the first six days of its release, Marco has earned Rs 25 crore (nett) in India and is inching closer towards Rs 50 crore worldwide. In Kerala, Marco has earned Rs 25.25 crore (gross) which is much more than what Pushpa 2 earned in over three weeks in the state.
Made at a budget of Rs 30 crore, Marco has already become the highest-grossing adult-rated Malayalam flick ever.
