The teaser and first look of Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film Darlings, which will stream on Netflix, was released by the makers on Tuesday. The film sees Alia and Shefali Shah playing a mother-daughter duo who are under the lens for an apparent murder but claim they are innocent as they just killed the victim “in their imagination” not in reality.

The teaser showcases the world of Alia and Shefali who are living a humble life. But their world is not simple as it seems to be. Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew seem smitten by the ladies. However, Vijay is suspicious of Roshan. But the interesting thing is that both of them don't realise that they are mere pawns in the larger scheme of things by Alia and Shefali.

Sharing the teaser, Alia wrote, "It’s just a tease Darlings. Arriving 5th August #DarlingsOnNetflix" along with the teaser. 

After the trailer was released, it received over 5 million views within 1 hour of its release. Till the filing of this copy, the teaser has garnered .............views on YouTube.
