Vijay Varma To Play Grey Character of Alia Bhatt's Abusive  Husband

The mother kidnaps the abusive husband of her daughter. But things became chaotic when the husband goes missing from captivity. Vijay Varma who earlier received a well-deserved appreciation for his role in Gully Boy will play this abusive husband.

The actor already enjoyed a wonderful 2020 with big releases like Baaghi 3, Bamfaad, Yaara, and She. In this Alia Bhatt movie, he will be playing a grey character.

The production team of Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment is yet to narrow down the actor for Alia's mother. With Darlings, Jasmeet K Reen will make a debut as a director. She is well known for writing screenplays for Pati, Patni Aur Woh, and Force 2.

Jasmeet was planning a biopic on Sahir Ludhianvi with leading director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the last few years. However, now that project has been put on hold for an indefinite time. That is why now she wants to give all attention to her directorial debut with Alia and Vijay. The production house is yet to update about the shooting schedule and release date.

Alia's main focus currently is completing the remaining shooting of Brahmastra and starting work on Gangubai Kathiawadi. Next, she will also have to prepare for her character in Takht based on the rivalry of two brothers. Apart from that Alia Bhatt will also feature in SS Rajamouli's RRR. Earlier rumors surfaced that due to negative publicity against the actress Rajamouli is planning to drop her. However, the Baahubali director refuted all such rumors and confirmed that Alia is definitely a part of RRR.
