Sanya Malhotra Vs Fatima Sana Shaikh: Started together but Sanya is way ahead today!

Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh got a dream Bollywood launch with Aamir Khan’s Dangal. Both actresses had good scope to demonstrate their acting skills and ample screen time to get recognition. Interestingly, Fatima had a much stronger role than Sanya. Almost a decade later Sanya Malhotra is now way ahead of Fatima Sana Shaikh even though Fatima was backed by Aamir Khan for many years.

Fatima received good backing from Aamir Khan

Unlike Sanya Malhotra Fatima got good backing from Aamir Khan. There were rumours that she was in a relationship with the Lagaan producer but that was never verified. Even then she was mostly seen in film parties in and around Aamir. It was because of the Bollywood superstar she got to work in YRF’s mega movie Thugs of Hindostan with none other than Katrina Kaif and Amitabh Bachchan apart from Aamir Khan himself.

Unfortunately the movie tanked so badly that it even affected the stardom of Aamir to some extent. Many believe that Fatima relied too much on Aamir Khan although she did work in both movies and OTT projects like Ludo and Modern Love. She has Metro In Dino in her hand which hopefully will do wonders to her career.

Better scripts might have helped Sanya Malhotra surge ahead

Sanya knew right from the start that she would have to struggle on her own. Interestingly, she never waited for the movies or series to come to her. She tried very hard and hustled around to get good projects both on the big screen and on the OTT platform. Sanya Malhotra chose smaller roles at times but those helped her showcase her talent.

Sanya focussed on doing women-centric projects although not as aggressive as Taapsee Pannu both in the mainstream cinema and on the digital platforms. From Badhai Ho, Photograph to Pataakha, Shakuntala Devi and now Mrs. Sanya Malhotra has showcased her versatility in so many roles. Plus she is a fabulous dancer.
